Re: Camera panning looks jerky
I'm shopping around for a new monitor and read that some monitors can't handle other framerates than 60fps (or integer fractions thereof) without stuttering. So this might also be something to consider. When playing back on yt I saw that the frame rate isn't constant and sometimes frames are being d...

Re: Learn how to make animations from Big Chicken Animation!
Sorry, but I'm not your target audience. But since you asked here are my thoughts: These videos are over 3.5h in total. And here is the problem: I do have a day job. So what's the reason that I should definitely watch them? I don't want to watch someone using a program. Where are the parts where I w...

Re: problem with masking
I wonder if you need masking in the fist place:
To generate the shadow with a hole:
Make sure autofill is off
Draw a rectangle and a circle inside the rectangle
Select everything with Ctrl+A
Create Shape
Code: Select all
Lightsource Group
+ Lamp
+ Light
+ Shadow with a hole
Rest of the scene
Make sure autofill is off
Draw a rectangle and a circle inside the rectangle
Select everything with Ctrl+A
Create Shape

Re: Have more than one skeleton control the vector image?
OK, that will be my plan. Now, is there a way to copy the vector drawing in a pose from a smart bone dial action? You know, in the altered position, then make that the default position of the copied character? If you're only moving points in a vector layer you can copy the keyframe to frame 0. If y...

Re: Ending an Animation
Click on "File/Export Animation" to write a video file and import it into a video editor. The cycling will not be part of the video.

Re: Realistic Character motion
My first animations were characters with realistic proportions and smooth movements. Welcome to Uncanny Valley. The more realism you add the more realism everything else requires or it will look odd. Many animations done with AS look too fluid for my taste. The movement of the arms often looks like ...

Re: Uploading very large Files - Help
Too late to the show, but using zip would be the simplest way to reduce the file size of an uncompressed AVI.

You need to install Fazek's tools. The original tools won't do that.

Re: File Saving Bug On MAC
Are you sure that it's 2 MB and not 2 GB?
I have .amne files bigger than 2MB on Windows 7; why shouldn't this work on Mac?

Re: Anime Studio Pro 9 crash
You might have a file size problem. Standard AVI only supports up to 2 GB file size. Use shorter export videos (file -> export animation: Start Frame, End Frame) and put them together in a video editor or use a lossless codec like Lagarith. Lagarith also supports openDML which is AVI that supports f...
