Post by CGArtFan »

Hi there
I'm going to create a website about computer graphic arts.Which one of these names sounds better to you?

1. cgworkshop
2. creativeminds
3. cgarts
4. creativitystudio
5. creativestudio

Have a better name on your mind? Please let me know.

depends on what your trying to do with it...

is it just showing cg art?
is it a portfolio?
is it tutorials?

etc...

things like tutorials I'd lean towards "workshop" or if portfolio more "creative"

horses for courses old bean.

ps: I've just registered all of them MMMwwwhaa ha haaaaaaa ..oO( joke )

Isn't CG Arts already the name of a magazine? You need to google them all and find out whether anything has been used already.

Anyway, it's not a case of what's the best name, it's what you can get the .com name for. I bet all of those have gone already.

Many of those are taken already, at least as far as .com goes.

Check these using a url search engine like this one.

Some even suggest URLs based on the one submitted.

Yes, I know. I'd probably go for .ir as the extension for my website.

If it matches an existing .com name, people will get confused. Better to think of something memorable and unique.

Last year I registered freakishshirts.com, for a t-shirt project I had, then I remembered freakish Kids, and did not bother with that url.

You really need to choose well.
