Why can't we have an expo?

Post by 3deeguy »

I went to NY Comic con on a Friday which was my day off and I was disappointed not to meet anyone from the forum. I missed one member who left before I arrived. I took a picture with Fahim as a souvenir, I got a couple of 'Poser' t-shirts and I would go again in a heartbeat.
The beauty of a forum is how unbelievably fast you can make progress. You benefit from the collective power of a '100' brains. How much better to meet some of these talented people and watch them work?
I kept thinking; "There are actually people whose brains work like mine does." What a great thought!
Unfortunately for me the biggest draw of Comic con is comics. I want to participate in an animators event. I'd like to know if we are a large enough group to have a collective event?

How about a meetup at someplace like Barns&Nobles? Near where you live?.

I can make next week end.

Sorry, I won't be able to make it.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

The days I have off are Fridays and Wednesdays but the important thing is we need computers with AS. Do you think there is any interest in having a regional meeting?

It looks like you're right. Animators may be a bit different from comic enthusiasts. (I will not walk down 34th St. in NYC dressed like a superhero.)
Well, it didn't hurt to ask.
