AnimeStudioScripts.com is up and running!

Post by ponysmasher » Sun Jan 02, 2011 9:04 pm

Alright, this took some coding so I hope it works (seems to so far):

http://animestudioscripts.com

Have you written a script for Anime Studio? Upload it!

Do you have a script that you like to use that's not on the site? Upload it!

Do you have a zip full of horse porn? Don't upload it!

There's still some stuff to do (search function, cosmetic fixes etc) but it seems to do the job well enough right now.

Great idea, thanks for setting this up, it will be good to have all scripts at one place.

Woooooow! :D
This is a huge great for AS users!
thank you so much!
Tomorrow I will help uploading stuff and I'll make a new sticky pointing this page. I will edit old scripts' posts too linking them to the page. If some one wants to help, just mail me the thread links to edit them (my mail is on my profile).
Type a subject that doesn't seem spam, please

You are free to upload all my scripts that are linked in this forum. I don't have time to upload and describe it.
I have just one request: please add a disclaimer page to the site and a license type for the scripts in the upload section.
Mine re all them Creative Commons by Author: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

Good luck!

I've added a license field now. What kind of disclaimer page do you want? There is a disclaimer at the bottom of every page that I could modify.

Something like:
This script is released under the license detailed in the download link; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of that license.

It is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the license description for more details.
Or something like this or that includes this:
Disclaimer of Warranty.

THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE PROGRAM, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. EXCEPT WHEN OTHERWISE STATED IN WRITING THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS AND/OR OTHER PARTIES PROVIDE THE PROGRAM "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PROGRAM IS WITH YOU. SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR CORRECTION.

Limitation of Liability.

IN NO EVENT UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW OR AGREED TO IN WRITING WILL ANY COPYRIGHT HOLDER, OR ANY OTHER PARTY WHO MODIFIES AND/OR CONVEYS THE PROGRAM AS PERMITTED ABOVE, BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PROGRAM (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR DATA BEING RENDERED INACCURATE OR LOSSES SUSTAINED BY YOU OR THIRD PARTIES OR A FAILURE OF THE PROGRAM TO OPERATE WITH ANY OTHER PROGRAMS), EVEN IF SUCH HOLDER OR OTHER PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Sorry for the capital letters. It has been extracted from the GNU license points 15 and 16.

Very nice PonyS 8)

When I get some time I'll be happy to upload some scripts from are posted on this forum (with said creators permission of course).

@Genete: I'll search, upload and set descriptions and licence details as specified.

@Selgin: I'll send you an email.

Would it not be possible to have links to web pages instead of a zip? I ask this as I keep all of my scripts on my own web page, so only upload to there when I make an update.

Done. Just skip uploading a file and instead under "relevant link" enter the link either directly to the file or a webpage where the file is.

Under "files to download" the user will get the message: "No files uploaded on this site, use relevant link above instead."

They were all 404 for me as well.

Just tested again and none of the ones from dauid.com work. All 404 errors.
