I need to save a couple files from version 8.1 to 7

Post by Víctor Paredes »

Hi, I unsuccessfully tried to transform a couple anme files from version 8.1 to version 7. This files will be used in my webinar next wednesday, and I want to share them so as many people as possible can play with them.
Can anybody help me with that?

Thank you very much.

I think synthsin (Wes) worked on a script just for that and that he had some success with it, not entirely sure it is him though!

Hey Selgin, 8 to 7 conversion...

glad to help - but, sorry, not before the webinar. I'm on the road, and away from my AS system, until early Thurs. (which is why I'll not be able to join in! :( )

If urgent this might help: viewtopic.php?t=19484

if you can't fix it - PM me with files and I'll take a look and figure out how long to do it - but it will be next weekend at best

Hehehe, I preferred to ask it directly here. Don't be jealous, here on forum are my real virtual friends.
I'm sure they gonna upload it to youtube. I'm preparing it right now, and I'm very nervous actually...

PD: I prefer to only continue being the selgin of anime studio, any comparison with a master from another area seems little to my incredible omnipotence (excluding Mr McDonald, obviously).

Nice! I'm going to register if there's still space...

Again, if anyone wants to chat or comment during the webinar, lets go to #aswebinar on twitter?

Good luck Selgin :)

I know you did it manually but here's a short formula on how to get backward compability if you need it for another time:
Save an AS7-file as AS8 then do a diff on them to see what has been changed (diff AS7.anme AS8.anme)
Then do some sed to remove or change differences.
(Both diff and sed should be available on Windows)
