Anyone using Mike Kelley's amazing walk assist script (mk_walk_assist v3.6)? I believe it's based on the work of ponysmasher.

It's so useful, but it would be nice if you could translate the limbs at their parent level, i.e. biceps and thighs, so you could give a little more swing to the hips and shoulders.
Anyone know of any similar scripts that allow you to do this?
Anyone capable of modifying Mike's work to add this functionality?

Is this tool still usefull since we have copy and paste keyframes? Does it offer something extra? I haven't tried the script, but i'm sure i could help you out.

Re: Walk Assist
(1) You can make half a walk cycle and it makes it a whole one.
(2) It can make a walk across the screen into a walk cycle in place
(3) It can save and load bone animations, and even repurpose them to other characters. (The most important function for me!)
In short it's probably my favourite script so far.
Adding the ability to translate as well limbs at their "root" to give more character to the walk would be amazing.

Re: Walk Assist
it's a great script Breinmeester, copy flip bone animation, walk in place or in line. Great or all kinds of cycles. You can also load animations to different rigs .

Re: Walk Assist
I can't believe I haven't seen this before, does it work in 10.1?

Re: Walk Assist
Yes it does, but you need to modify the script with the lua changes. It's posted over at animators forum on http://www.kelleytown.com/forum/animators/default.asp
