I'm doing really basic animation, like South Park.
In the middle of my 8 second scene I want my (image based) character's head to switch from a profile view to a front view.
I tried changing visibility for the different head layers but only one "sticks" (is visible) in the final animation.
The only way I've been able to swap heads is if I offset the different heads' keyframes by one frame. That is to say: there's a one-frame space between "profile head" and "front view" head (in that one frame he's headless!).

Use a switch layer if it is very basic like South Park.

I just figured it out. I put head into its own group folder and now it works fine.
