Moving shapes on same layer

Post by LeeHasPencil »

How do I move shapes that have been sent to the back on the same layer? I can't select it without moving everything out of the way. Is there a way to select a behind shape and "Bring To Front".

Cheers.

You can use Actions and Blend Morphs.

Tutorial 2.4 in the help manual will explain how to move hidden shapes to the front.

Moving shapes

Post by Poptoogi »

One of the best ways I've found for moving shapes around is to selecthem (The selection points tool/Shortcut g button) when you first create them and then name and create a group for them at the top. This way no matter how many things you pile on top of one another you can always go to select group and choose exactly what you want to move! This is really useful if you have a lot of items on the same layer. I always do this when making....well.....anything really! LOL!
Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty! Pause, consider, do! I dare you!
