Track vector points to motion tracking?

Post by jhbmw007 »

Can only layers be bound to video tracking points, not individual points within a vector layer? Can bones be bound to video tracking?

You can certainly bind bones. Either 1 point or 2. If you choose 2 you can decide if the tip controls rotation and/or scaling.

Thanks- now I see where you can do this. I'm thinking this could be a quick way to make lightsaber effects on a video- if you track the base and tip of the lightsaber in the video, and bind a bone to that.

Yep that would be pretty straight forward. The tracking works pretty well depending on the level of contrast you can get on your tracking points.

Good luck
