Combine multiple shape affects

How would I make a gradient cloud with blurred edges? When I click on the blurred edge affect the gradient vanishes

I suggest doing your blurred edges using the the Layer shadows tab of your layer properties. Set the offset at 0 and play with blur and contraction.
