Proper Arm (and Leg Rig)?

I used to like pathes but now it's difficult...
I use smartbones now....
I put arms in two layers (top and bottom)
I want to rig It so when it bends (forms elbow) the over lap lines show
But idk how:-(

I use Pro 9, sadly these videos are unhelpful

Smooth joint and sketch bones are the only methods you can't do in v9. The remaining techniques will work just fine:
10:14 -- Layer binding
14:50 -- Point binding
16:00 -- Elbow "patch"
18:48 -- Flexi bind (hand)
19:33 -- Mandcon
22:51 -- Smart bone
You should watch the entire video with notepad in hand. If you don't have time, at the very least watch 10:14 to 27:40. There are some nifty tricks ("elbow patch" and "point switching") sprinkled in there that aren't commonly discussed.

Admittedly, you need a solid understanding of ASP to benefit from this, but seriously, I think this is the best video overview of joint methods out there. :o
