How to achieve bend arm/shape shown in this video

Hello! the arm bend shown in this video seems to be very interesting and very efficient, How does one exactly achieve this?

It's an arm created only with strokes. Here's an example: http://www.filedropper.com/unlimitedarm

And I have a create shape tool to help with stacking the shapes on the same vectors: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=32301

There are four shapes, an outline and fake fill for both the upper arm and forearm. The opened end is done by removing round caps.

thank you very much, I think I got the hang of it.

So to create a outline, ill have to create a shape that is a bigger in stroke width then the filling at the front right?
