I redid the grumpy old man this time using smooth keys. And I left out the little bend in the feet that I usually do.

Nice goin Sbtamu! Looks really really good. Might wanna try adding another bone to the foot so when it slides back the foot breaks into an arc and looks even less slippery!

Other than that really great improvement.

He has 2 bones in his feet but I got lazy and did not take the time to do that.
You are right though It needs touched up some. If you look at the one on the 1st page it has an arch in both directions.

It will give me something to do tonight. :D :D :D

thanks

Not to slight the other great entries, these examples by Gregino are super cool. :)

@ Gregino - Just saw yours now, Vimeo was down. Great stuff, love the turnaround.

@Sbtamu - Looks a lot better!

It seems like this thread is going strong so far so lets keep it like that!

LOL pretty much, I'm not an animator or in a field that has any thing to do with it. I am a math and physics teacher but I have always been attracted to animation.

I have four characters that have rigs and the first two I did are really bad and the other two are this one and the baseball kid; not counting the stickmen I made this month.

I really do not comment much on other peoples art as I really have no experience in art or animation but I do comment on question asked by new members when they have questions that seem to be repeated almost daily; layer/point binding etc.

All I know has been learned over the last 13 months by participating in this forum since I first got AS.

Stephen.

That's awesome Sbtamu!

Okay, I know I haven't posted something recently, I have been away from ASP this weekend. So0o0oO here are some game .swfs I have been messing around with in flash...

* DON'T WORRY ALL ANIMATION/ART WILL BE DONE IN ASP

RPG One
-> I want to revamp this simple engine and put in something to make this feel like a Sinjid SOTW kinda game....and yes, no you cannot win.

Turret Tests
-> Sweet engine that doesn't work.

hitTest spells
-> Random hitTest functions in flash test....

I think posting test games is fine, if someone has something against it then HEY i'll take it off...if I have any game animations to post I WILL.

Just needed to post something... :D

No, the gif has only 30 colors (to keep it light to share here), that is because it looks like that.
