EVERYDAY DISPLAY CHALLENGE
*RESUSCITATION*
It's my fault this topic died, but look how well it was doing. Please continue bringing it back to life as I will be on these forums more often! YHEEYUH!

THE CHALLENGE
What is it? The challenge is simple, I am trying to be in Anime Studio everyday and in order for me to produce I need to sit down and bang something out. Nothing is more satisfying then hearing comments on what you have just made. So I challenge you, whenever you do a simple Walk cycle, run cycle, bounce, jump, lip sync, action, timing any and every test you do! Post it.

THE RULES
* Will add to these as it goes on
1) No screenshots! Leave that for a different forum, videos only.
2) If your video is longer than 30 seconds post a link to it. There are a ton of hosting sites out there that can embed video. ( http://tinypic.com/ , http://photobucket.com/ , http://www.youtube.com ) Or post an animated GIF.
3) This is animation only, I don't want to see stories written out.
4) Comment constructive criticism, the point is to only get better no one should be up in your face because these are tests. The more you do the better you will be when it's time for you to use your knowledge on something that right now may seem overwhelming.

Why are you doing this? Contests like these have been made a bunch before and have for the most part all failed...

THIS IS TRUE. And this one will run it's course as well, but I want to do this because I don't know if we can...why not give it a shot? If this flops then so be it.

I hope everything's clear, there is no actual winner although maybe if we get enough people to post their test ( loops ) we can show the best of the week right here:

NOW GO DO IT.

Maybe it would be a good idea that you post the first entry. That would invite others to participate.

Right you are Genete! ( Inserts excuse )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AszS8kBZGg
-> A vignette of sorts that upon completion I realized, I got some work to do.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XybiXNBqMTQ
-> First attempt at Morph Dials. Really liked using these a lot, almost made it feel like a 3d program.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxVB0HNTM9A
-> Lip Sync test I did the other day, working with the chin in the actual Mouth switch layer was new to me...worked out for the most part!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMM0ukmRPjg
-> First loop attempt, thought it was unique. Will upload it somewhere else unless someone knows how to make it actually loop...otherwise it looks kinda pointless

SO THERE YOU GO. Post any tests you have. I'd love to see and this is great for building up a portfolio of any sorts.

Here's some random stuff I've done.

For this I traced an image of a worn Liberty coin and made it spin using layer rotation.

Here's a little experiment with bone dynamics. (I can see I need to add some lead-in to the video because the flour bag actually jumps at the start of it.)

This is a waterfall made using particles. I've seen Sbtamu's waterfall video and wanted to see if I could coax AS6P to comply.

That's actually a pretty good bounce.

I would lose the line width and maybe toss in a shaded effect.

Thanks Sbtamu! I like your walk cycle as well... those look all keyframed though, any tweens?

@ Selgin - Really liked the walk cycle/ head turn. Great stuff.

@ Axlen - Totally thought the coin thing was sweet as well as that waterfall!

I did it this way so any one could see the steps and trace it.

Well, while we're here in walk cycle city, I thought I'd upload Mr ass scratcher, the latest in a long line of exploitation of Odd Job Jack resources. Made with Anime Studio 5.6.
