If you ever needed to add a different voice to a character but lacked the talent needed to do it there is help. I ran across this software that will even change your voice from a man to woman. Available as a FREE trial download.

I know you posted this elsewhere, but I'll also reply here.

I think this is the worst interface on any software I've ever used, and after 40 years that's saying something. It's a good thing there is a demo, because I would have been *real* pissed to have spent the money for this piece of crap.

It's basically a toy and if you think of it that way you'll have no problems. But it's not designed for any serious use.

Never tried it myself. Haven't even downloaded it but it is cheap and the demos I heard sound decent. Heck, I piss away $40 just treating my family to Burger King.

Ha ha ha! Nice to see things put in perspective now and again...

And yet we have folks here who the $20 Anime Studio costs need to consider if they can afford it or not.

Remember -- not everyone has a job in this economy, and to a lot of people (far more than you might imagine) $40 is a considerable piece of change.

(We Americans tend to be rather smug and self-centered when it comes to consumption -- I'm as guilty of it as the next person -- but now we're getting a taste of our own medicine and perhaps will adopt some humility with it).

I think resentment (and a few other less noble emotions) will come before humility -- if you take something away from somebody, humility is rarely the first emotion that comes to mind.

Sadly, too true sometimes.

Anyway, if you recommend a software in the forum the minimal thing you can do is test it to say if it's good or bad. If you don't, this post becomes the same than a banner anywhere on the web.

I'd have to agree with Selgin.

I certainly can't recommend a product I have never tried. What I can and did do was come across this product, listen to some of the demos and passed the information along. Grab it if you like, leave it if you don't. Try it, buy it. To me, not a major investment. Just another $40 pissed away at the most. Nothing to bother about.

It's Free GPL software. You can change the Pitch and the voice will be changed.

That does look interesting. But no Mac OS X :(
