Beta 2 lag...

Post by b15fliptop »

I installed beta 2 and opened a project, and the mouth no longer moves in time with the audio! How can one tell if they've got it right this way?

Is there any chance of getting Papa 1 back?

I'm also experiencing a lag that I didn't with version 1.

Are you experiencing a slowdown when you press the play button, or when is it happening exactly?

In beta 2, when you scrub in the waveform view, the playback marker is displayed, and that makes scrubbing slower that it was in beta 1, but the mouth should still match the position of the playback marker. There's nothing in regular playback that should slow things down.

If you want to go back to beta 1, you can find it listed here (down near the bottom):

Scrubbing should speed up quite a bit for beta 3, while still showing the playback marker.

Thanks for the link, LM.

When I say that it's lagging, I mean that when I play back a project the lips don't move in sync with the audio. Obviously, that's no good for this application.

Definitely not! Can you tell me about your computer (processor speed, OS, etc.)? Also, if you could email your audio file and Papagayo file to support@lostmarble.com, I can try it out on both beta 1 and beta 2 to try and figure out what's going on.
