Manual: Group layers in Debut

Post by Lebostein »

There seems no group layers in Debut? But the Manual of Debut talk about group layers some times. This is very confusing.

There are no Group layers in Debut, no. However, you can use a Bone Layer to do the same thing. You don't have to set it up with bones, you can just use it to group other layers.

You can also import a group layer from an existing file, like one of the tutorial files. You just can't create them in Debut.

You can open the *.anme file with a text editor and input

Code: Select all

layer_type 3
{
	name "New Folder"
	... other layers ....
}
in the layer section. Save and reopen it in Anime Studio. And the new folder is visible. There are some other things you can turn on/off with a simple text editor if you have Debut only. I don't know why this file structure is not crypted or something. Very easy to read and edit.
