Shading options and combining shape affects

The layer shadow/shading options really need to be improved
There should be a way to highlight layers and shade them at the same time
It should be possible to for a shape to have more than one fill affect at once.
We should be able to make a gradient with as many colors as we want, not just two colors.
There should be a way in the layer settings to control whether or not shadows from other layers show up on that layer. That way layers like the sky and stuff won't show layer shadows from other layers

1. Layer shading and shadow effects can be applied to a group or bone layer, thus effecting as many sublayers as you like.
2. Shapes can have two fill effects (advanced style window view)
3. Gradients can have as many colors as you want, just click below the gradient bar to add a new movable color box (see manual).
4. Masking is required when you need to apply shadows to some stuff but not others.

Can masking hide layer shadows without hiding the layer?

Is there a way for the shadows/shading to be visible in editing view? Why can't the shadows be inverted if the offset is 0? Also if the characters are around a campfire or something how would I give just the unshaded areas an orange/yellow tint?
