Seperate names and content for Text

Post by BrahRah »

I'd like to label my text with numbers. 01 02 03 ... That way I would know in which order they are shown. But since the text name and content are the same this seems not to be possible. It's an simple addition but would help a lot with text heavy animations.

If you convert it to vector, you can name it whatever you like.

Yes but then I can't edit the text anymore or I'll have 2 files per text and will have to convert the text every time I change it. That is not really an option.

Then put each text layer in a group and name that.

That is a bit better but still a hassle to use if you have about 20 text layers. I guess using a group for text and then use subgroups as names could work without cluttering everything since the text group can be opened and closed.
