you can almost do that right now with Bezier interpolation. But that works on the separate x,y(,z) channels rather than on displacement along a trajectory line; and editing the Bezier curves can only be done for a single entity (e.g. a layer or a single point) at a time.

so, agreeing with you, it would be good to have an approach that would allow a user to define some composite entities - both path and object to be translated along the path - and have Moho set the right Bezier interpolation on multiple channels from just the user-defined two. Brain-numbing maths but perfectly feasible.
(e.g. for a four point object in a vector layer translating in just x,y - that would mean setting the Bezier handles for: start and end keys / for each point / for each dimension = 2*4*2 = 16 actual keys)

This might help with that: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=32570

You can work this way for layer motion: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=32578

A speed graph like After Effects, yes I would very much like to see this implemented in the future, as there is not sufficient interpolation controls using the presets ease-in, ease-out, etc., and issues modifying values in the graph individually.
It could be done by allowing constraining the XYZ channels (synthsin), and allowing bezier handles with certain presents selected.
But it would be best to separate the Motion Graph into two modes, one that controls translation, rotation, scale, and a second one that controls interpolation.
