Would it be too difficult to make an Auto outline checkbox for the Add Point tool?

OK, I guess I can say more than that. What you want is for new curves that you draw to already have an outline applied, right? The problem is this: when you draw the first curve segment that has just two points, a new outline is created. Then, when you extend it by adding a new point to the end, should that be a new outline, or should it extend the original outline? What if you use the Add Point tool to connect two previously separate curves? Should the result be one, two, or three outline shapes? If all your outlines have the same width and color it doesn't matter, but it seems to open up a lot of ambiguities.
