Video Editors
Can you tell me what are the best free video editors for importing .gif, .mov and any anime studio supported formats?
some people use virtualdub:
- http://www.virtualdub.org/ but it prefers AVI files.
or avidemux:
I pay and use QuicktimePro. http://www.apple.com/quicktime/extending/
It loads everything AS produces and does alpha channels perfectly (whether in PNG or mov formats). I consider it ideal and not too expensive at 30 USD. You'll need the help to work out how to layback audio...
For pro level editing, the new beta from http://www.lightworksbeta.com/ is picking up image sequences (The previous one did not). You'll have to read a lot of docs...
Its more limited in terms of screen formats than the first three above.
String - how long.. this long.. YMMV
IMHO forget about loading and editing gif files in general editing tools. Use special purpose ones for this like gifanimator. Also look into apng files and editors which are better for this low bandwidth format for web only animation.
