Dual Monitors

Post by Seyrse »

I have a dual monitor set up which works really great BUT I can't get AS 7.2 to save the setup. When I start the program for more work the tool bars are sitting at the edge of the monitor. I have looked at the file built by Anime for the difference and here is what I found.

When the program is running and I have the screens set the way I want the following is listed....

Wide screen in use with style, layer, tool boxes on the left screen.

"StyleWnd_location" "1733 7"
"LayerWnd_location" "1597 -10"
"ToolWnd_location" "1351 53"
"AnimDlog_location" "428 270"

When I close the program this happens ...

Locations saved and reused when opening.

"StyleWnd_location" "1444 12"
"LayerWnd_location" "1716 9"
"ToolWnd_location" "1295 12"
"AnimDlog_location" "428 270"

style, layer, tool change to different locations. This is the ONLY difference between what is shown when the program is running and when it is closed.

Has anyone else run into this? Why isn't it saving the actual locations of the tool bars? Other programs I use can deal with the two monitors and save the position of toolbars.

Thanks Steve E.

There is a save panel layout arranger free utility someone wrote, I'm searching the forum but can't find it. Came out ages ago but still works with every version of AS I've run.

It works great. You can make multiple instances of it and have shortcuts for 2 monitors, 3, different release versions of AS if you hang onto older versions. Great stuff.

Thank you for this!
Had also similar problems with my dual monitor setup, so this should fix it.

Cheers!
