Moho Spanish translation

Post by 3deeguy »

I read a product description on a package that was written in Spanish and saw the word "moho". It referred to 'mildew'. Now I'm curious to know where the "Moho" name came from?

Yep, moho in spanish:

I don't remember well, but I have the idea this has been discussed before here and the official version (but I could be lying) was Moho is only a memorable word, no more than that.

My wife (girlfriend at the time) was taking a geology class. I was having trouble coming up with a name for the new program I was working on, so I opened up her textbook to a random page, put my finger on the page, and found this:

Hehehe, finally the truth!
Thanks.

PD: there was a children tv show here in Chile called "Pipiripao" (which is a very strange spanish word), the story is almost the same.

I still like the name "Moho", the old icon and old website design. The whole design appeared more animation-ish to me and seemed more original. But an app doesn't perform on any of those. So no need to rant too much. ;)

Also, "Moho" is a name for an extinct hawaiian bird. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawaiian_Rail
