Freehand Tool During Animation

During creating animation of a character I want to use the "Freehand" also. I have been unable to locate it. I have tried to reset the tools to no avail.

The freehand tool is only available on frame zero. The idea is that you create all of your image objects (characters, circles, squares, etc.) in advance on frame zero, and then work with them in the time line. You can show and hide them (by setting the visibility on the layer dialog box) to make them pop in and out.

You have to enable drawing tools for frames other than zero in the preferences.
