Bone dynamics not working

Post by Matou »

I have been trying to get the bone dynamics to work with the tutorial 3.3: nothing works.
Also the spacebar can't be used for anything other than playing the film.
Are these issues or is it only me ?

Mac El Capitan latest.

Thanks,

1) Make sure you are on frame 0, then select each bone in all four arms using the select bone tool (shortcut B), either one at a time or all at once by holding down the Shift key when selecting.

2) Next, click on Bone Constraints on the top left of the menu bar.

3) In the drop-down panel click on Bone dynamics.

Rewind and play and you should see the arms animated in a "springy" manner.

You might not have "Classic point editing keyboard shortcuts" enabled in the Tools tab of the preferences.

Found out that there seems to be something missing regarding Bone dynamics in the pdf Tutorial p. 120ff.. tried to make BD work on the sample file step by step, didn^t work. Then saw, that it needed "Enable Bone Dynamics" checked in the "Animation" Menu. Simple, but would have been nice to see this mentioned in the step-by-step tutorial.

Hi,

Enable Bone Dynamics should be enabled by default, which is why it isn't mentioned in the manual.

It's possible that you disabled it and quit Moho previously because Moho will remember the previous state of this option. Enable it and quit, and it should remain on the next time you launch Moho.

Hope this helps.
