Reference layer not referenced

Post by KuzKuz »

Hi, I have a problem with Referenced layers. After editing my rig, all my reference layers lost connections to original layers in all animation channels. I spend a lot of time to resync all unsynced actions. If my reference layer have the keys in the Actions, i can't just consolidate all channels and resync all at once. I must manually resync all channels, except channels what i use in actions or my action will lose keys. Is this a bug? What reason it's happen? If i try to edit my rig this happen again :(
Image Thanks!

I'm not seeing this here. I'd need an example file or repeatable steps to replicate the problem.

I don't understand what you did to get all the channels unsynced.

I understood! Try to delete "B16" action and then check reference channels. It's definitely a bug. Сan you please make a report about this bug?

Yeah, that does appear to be a bug.

In the meantime, I've found a way to avoid it, at least for deleting actions. Upon first opening the file, delete the action from the origin group layer first, and then the main bone layer. This clears the action from the reference while not unsyncing all the channels. If you're doing this after changing something in the file, you'll just need to save, close, and reopen it before deleting the action.

Of course, if it's just deleting an action, consolidate channels would work just fine.
