Prevent latter frames from affecting previous frames

Post by chaz »

Hi,

Is there a way to pick and choose when latter frames affect previous frames? For example, if i make my character walk from one side to the other (frame 1-90) that's fine. But once i do something on frame 90, like make the character fly up, then it completely messes up all the previous frames as if it's all preparing the character for this jump (legs become all tangles whilst walking). I want to to completely ignore the fact that the character is jumping until frame 90 starts. Could someone please help with this?

Kind regards,

You need to understand the concept of keyframes better. Put a key where your intended movement begins, then another at where the movement ends, to tell the program from where on you want to move something. If you dont't do that and only set the second keyframe, the program assumes you want to move something from the beginning on frame 1 on.

Awesome! I didn't realise you had to begin and end key frames for each action! So helpful!
