Hello,
the character "Lightning" from the library has shadows inside his body.
But when I look at it with the drawing tools I can only touch the whole path of - for example - an arm (outline and fill color) but not these shadow parts inside...I thought they where also paths but they are not.
How are they done? Are they "grouped" or something, and I need to activate something to being able to grab and manipulate them?
How are the shadows of "Lightning Character" done?

I haven't seen this file but I'm guessing the shadow is created using a Style effect, or the effect is being applied in a layer/group setting (Shadows tab.) In either case, the effect used is probably Shaded and not Shadow (Shaded is internal, Shadow is external.)

I've checked the front view (only) and just as greenlaw says - it's a "shaded" fill effect (no styles in the doc as far as I can see).
You can view / change these in the Styles window. Select the required shape and then look at the "Effect" (or "Effect 1" if you have the "advanced" option selected) options.
