Not happy with Smith Micro

I've been a long time Moho user. Back before it was Anime Studio and now Moho again. I signed up as a beta tester back when the Linux version was still available. Eventually beta testing for Windows, Linux, and Mac. Recently I've been working on other things, so I never beta tested Moho 12. Well I did but not actively or too the point of finding anything that wasn't already posted. Long story short. I was released as a beta tester. Which is fine. Like I said, I've been busy with other stuff.
So now, I no longer have access to the same support as the normal customer who purchased a copy of Moho. Beta testers registration keys can not update the software nor receive support through Smith Micro. After a few emails back and forth from Smith Micro, who for some reason don't understand what I'm explaining in my emails, my keys are to be deactivated too. So now I have no access to versions 10 and up and according to Smith Micro. They stated that this is just how it is, basically.
Now I'm not asking for Moho 12 or even Anime Studio 11 for that matter. I just wish I could receive an actual registration key and download for Anime Studio Pro 10. As a developer, I still program and use XP most of the time. Yes, there are still businesses, schools, and people who still prefer XP. Including myself. I use it more than my Mac or Windows 10 pc. Anyway, I feel like Smith Micro doesn't care for the people who tried to make this a solid piece of software.
Which this takes me to where I've lost software in the past. I can not stand online activating apps. I know developers do it for protection of their apps but I've lost quite a bit of money when developers just drop off the face of the earth/internet. Don't do a clean install on your hard drive or get a new pc. You'll no longer be able to use the software you enjoy.
Anyways, I just really disappointed with Smith Micro now. I do have an older back up of Anime Studio pro that I'll use for now. So I'm not at a total lost.
