Infuriating teeny tiny keyframes

Post by Jkoseattle »

The #1 and basically only reason I'm not upgrading to Moho 13 is because they didn't change how infuriating it is to try and click on the (seeming) SINGLE PIXEL you need to click on to select a keyframe in the timeline when zoomed out. I'm constantly zooming in and out and in and out just so I can select keyframes. I don't understand at all why this isn't something that everyone and his horse wanted to have fixed asap, but in 13, it's exactly the same. Heck, even when transforming points you can be close enough and Moho knows which one you want. But keyframe selection is so very strict. I'm baffled why this isn't a bigger complaint.

<hope>Is there maybe some script or plugin that solves this issue?</hope>

With high-density displays, it's recommended that you have the OS scale up programs.

I agree jkoseattle and slowtiger, it is infuriating, no matter what the screen size or resolution.
I wish it would change too.

it's an even worse issue when having the timeline zoomed out -- and there was a formal request for changes (39605) logged (Nov 2017) after this post viewtopic.php?f=13&t=31491

+1

This kills me every time when I'm zoomed out on the timeline.

I agree with the above, and there are other areas in Moho where it can be difficult to see/select items. This is especially true on a high-density pixel screen on a smaller display, like on a laptop or tablet computer.

To address this on my old Wacom Cintiq Companion computer with the 13 inch screen and on my newer laptop computer with a 17 inch screen, I had to drop the display resolution down to 1920 x 1080 to make it comfortably usable. This isn't just for Moho but many other applications.

I experimented with the Windows display scaling settings and can get acceptable results for Moho and some other apps but the settings are not reliable for everything. I eventually decided it was easier to just set the display to HD res and be done with it. Your mileage may vary, of course.

That said, I hope the developers will improve Moho's timeline UI in a future release.

Hope this helps.
