Screen space on Surface Pro

Post by Jkoseattle »

I am endeavoring to become more portable in my work, so I'm trying out a Surface Pro instead of being always tethered to my desktop tower in my cold basement cave. I've got Moho running, and with GPU acceleration on it's looking good. The biggest issue I'm having now is screen real estate. On my tower I'm using two big monitors, and I have the workspace and main window on one screen, and the timeline and frequent palettes on the other. But of course now I just have the one monitor. I wish I could make tabs out of the workspace and timeline etc., but I don't think that's possible. What other screen layout solutions have people come up with when working on a single laptop screen?

If you undock windows, you can use the hide/unhide window shortcuts to basically toggle them full screen.
Although shortcuts may not help with a Surface.

Thanks, nice simple solution. I've changed the keyboard shortcuts to Shift+2, 3, or 4 which toggles Timeline, Style and Layer Comps. Shweet!

I'm glad it helps. Wasn't sure if it would.
