OK, the bad part: too much farting, to much bad rock music, too much monster slashing.

But the first half (until the monsters appear) is hilarious. Lots of real animation gags (like the change of body instead of changing underwear), lots of consequent thinking (the mother stuck in the door, and really shaking the ground; the chair going up slowly when the boy leaves it) which adds much to the fun. Many nice details in each shot (the sun boiling slowly, the earth turning around the wrong axis).

I like that things just happen, without any thinking about restrictions in what a character possibly could do - arms just get longer when needed. And look at the very slow head (and body) turn when Grandpa rotates on his own fart...

Well, even the farting is done with elegance. Look at the solidly animated smoke ring at the end of the tiger's rainbow propulsion.

Overall a bit long in the end. But it's a nice bit of sillyness, for 5 minutes. Couldn't stand this any longer, however.

Here's another one from that program:

A more adult story, and partially wonderful design inspired by 50's graphics.

really, i don't think you can have
too much farting in animation!

I also thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the first bit which reminded me a bit of Don Edwing's work in MAD magazine (I think that was his name).

Then after a while I feel it denigrated into stock cartoon stuff with monsters and swords. Though the tiger was great. Also has some Napoleon Dynamite vibes thrown in there.

Farting, didn't like so much. Not a big fan of toilet humour, although the revolving fart was pretty good.

Apparently Cartoonstitute has been discontinued (or so I read).

The only bit which looked like Don Martin was the Grandpa's expression when he sticked to the plane window.

(Did I ever mention that I worked at the studio which did the only existing Don Martin animation ever?)

Hyuk hyuk hyuk.

I think it was the big chin and straight upright stance on Uncle Grandpa that made me think of the similarity to Don Martin's work.
