You've made a good start there. A couple of things that would improve the quality greatly would be to lock down the lights and camera more securely. It's very easy to knock them as you found out :D

The rest, such as timing and and animation techniques, comes through reading books on the subject and experience. I bet you've learned a lot already and you don't stop with something as complex as animation.
