The information under this video gives the links to download and obtain a key for Windows or Mac (from the Adobe Website). As far as I can see this is legitimate, please correct me if that's not true.

Whether it's worth fiddling around with legacy software this old is another question, maybe some experienced users can advise us on that.

I've already worked with newer versions, I doubt this old version (still ActionScript 2) will even open those files. And I don't know if this 13 yr old software runs on recent OS versions.

Only of interest if you have a bunch of old projects somewhere on a machine with old OS and want to render them to video, which is something that was dropped in the next version.

That's not legal at all, I'm afraid. Adobe provides those keys because the old CS/CS2 activation servers were shut down, and ONLY CS/CS2 OWNERS may use those keys. That Youtuber guy is completely wrong about being it "free and legal". Free it may be, but most assuredly illegal.

Whether or not anyone can use those keys is not the point: installing and registering these old versions without owning a legal copy of CS or CS2 remains illegal. Simple as that.

It's basically abandonware at this point...unless Adobe takes any steps to act on copyright violations.

Thanks for that information - it doesn't work on Windows 10 anyway. Just a waste of time.
