Genete, your experiments are interesting, but have anyone done any actual animation, something else than just morphing effects, in Synfig? The examples on their webpage in not very impressive, its hard to call them animation at all. It's basically just morphs.
Can you use it for (character) animation or is it best suited for effects?

Err, you know, as well as CHIO said, make a "synfig" search into youtube, and you'll find some of them. We're preparing a demo reel to be posted in youtube, but it is a cooperative task and is taking its time
You should know perfectly that I have poor drawings skills and that most of my animations are not good so far (with Synfig or with Anime Studio). Don't doubt that when I have more experience I'll post some of my animations. Meanwhile you can watch this one:

By the way, what's animation if it is not morphing?
And yes, it is great for special effects as you can see
I did in no way try to bash at your work Genete, I like the pieces you post here.Genete wrote:...You should know perfectly that I have poor drawings skills and that most of my animations are not good so far...
I have only briefly tried Synfig and I'm not quite sure exactly what you do with it, most examples I've seen is morphing, growing flowers and such (much quite good).
Can you do frame by drawn animation (easily), or moho/flash-kind of vector animation?
One day when I've got spare time I'm going to give Synfig a more throughout try.
