I totally agree! That guy is a really funny standup comedian in the Dallas area named Justin Foster, and he improvised half of that. Someday I'll release all of the stuff that we had to cut!

Mikdog wrote:Barry - please could you let me in on a secret? How did you get Neo-Mickey's jet particles in the beginning of the shirt to change colours like that? You really rocked the particles in this short. Any tips? Also looks like you used a lot of automatic bone wiggling. I'd really like to get some kind of insider info on your process. I remember seeing the storyboard which you stayed extremely true to.
It would be off-topic to discuss techniques here - I'll post something in the tips and techniques section when I've finished my present jobs. But Selgin is right about the particles - anything you can do in a regular anime studio layer can be turned into a particle. It doesn't just do illusionistic smoke and sparkle effects. I love the power of particles.

Heres some examples of our work done using ASP:

http://www.inkdigital.co.uk/seyret/film ... illie.html - completely done in AS

http://www.inkdigital.co.uk/seyret/thin ... oid-3.html - web series (swf) done in AS

http://www.inkdigital.co.uk/seyret/thin ... tland.html - low budget commercial with character anim done in AS

http://www.inkdigital.co.uk/seyret/film/handy.html - educational film for kids done entirely in AS

Even some of our other projects on the site like the 'debtline' ad and the 'elephant' one used ASP to some degree.

Working on another just now which should be posted soon...

Cheers!

Now that Smith Micro's AS6 website is almost live, I'm curious if any of the submitted animations will be used. I think that alot of what's been submitted is really, really impressive!

Also, I see that you've got some really lovely tutorial animations showcasing the new features (and by the way you seem to have content folder movie up twice). The tag lines are really funny on the two commercials!

I recommend Sang's excellent works. His latest works need to be seen by anyone considering Anime Studio.
