I'm proud to present my latest work animated in Anime Studio Pro 6:

Animated using 100% legal software:

Photoshop CS 4, Anime Studio Pro 6, Final Cut Express 4 HD, Macbook, Macbook Pro, Wacom Intuos 3, Wacom Cintiq 12 WX

Briefly, I drew everything and cut out all the faces in Photoshop CS 4 with either my Cintiq or Intuos, animated 99% of it in Anime Studio Pro 6.1 (a version that at least had the cycling bug fixed. Phew) Then I comp'd everything in Final Cut Express (what a great program) and added colour overlays to the backgrounds. Characters, backgrounds, foregrounds and shadows were on their own layers in Final Cut Express. I made a clicktrack in Audacity and animated each scene to that. Each scene was its own file.

I really kept everything from the process, and think it'd be cool to make a little video of how I made it all. I'll have to retrace my steps a bit, but I kept a record of the process.

Mike this is awe-inspiring! There are so many cool little "moments" throughout that I wouldn't know where to begin. It must have taken a ton of storyboarding or shot lists to put this together.

The only thing standing between you and some awards is filling out the entry forms!

Do you know how many hours it took to complete this project?

did it take more than two hours?

Once again, your work is awesome. It is definitely a music video, don't know why, maybe the key is pacing.

One important thing is that you maintained much of the style feel from the other video you did for these guys (two new members in the group?) yet at the same time it was entirely new. You help them brand themselves.

You had a whole lot of great ideas in there. Many funny elements.

What an amazing video - fabulous work!

Before this video I thought "Soundtracks and Comebacks" was perfect. But this one is even better! Awesome work, Mikdog.

I liked the video for "Soundtracks And Come Backs" so much that I bought the album! I'd love to see a "behind the scenes" of how this video was done, it would be a big help to watch how a project like this is animated. Thanks for posting this, Mikdog! Another awesome video!

Can you please not spam over other's threads?
If you seriously need the specific opinion of Mikdog, you can send him a private message. here we all admire his work and it's nice to have good or wise words from him. But this thread is about his videoclip, not yours. If your videoclip haven't received much feedback maybe you should effort a little more on your next work, instead spreading your video on other's thread to reach some popularity.
Anyway, 3 days for a videoclip is really little work. Ask on some threads from share your work how many time people has spend on their own projects. Good animations requires a lot of effort, so, if you want some feedback, next time try to take more time for a project. Or make some short tests, no more than 30 seconds, try to get them perfect and then publish them on forum. I'm pretty sure that if it's good (or if we can see there are effort on it) you'll receive a lot of feedback. Imagine it, your own popular thread, nice, don't you think?

sorry about that, i am just trying to get a bit of attention because i feel like a mino in a group of wales, surrounded by so many talented animators. i am working on a new project that is taking me a bit longer because of complexities. but until that is ready....

Just had a look at the process video. I laughed so hard when I saw your brother dancing!

But you're truly amazing. From the bunch of ideas you just throw away any other studio would make a year's living! I hadn't had any clue that you did so much testing , but obviously it pays.

(But I'm glad you didn't do that 3D stuff.)
