Something only possible in AS7

Post by ponysmasher »

Working on a thing about train tracks and was wondering if I could make them appear somehow.

Did this test using the new features of AS7:

Wood pieces are 3D extruded and have physics. The rails were done with stroke exposure.

A very dynamic effect and a nice use of the new features in AS 7.
What if?

That's a nice trick, is it possible to see your anme file for studying? or if you could explain the physics involved here, do you have the wood pieces at different z depth and an invisible ground with different y values at different depth?

No, the pieces are spaced on the X axis and have a common invisible ground.

So the piece furthest back in the gif is actually the piece furthest to the right.

You can get the file here: track.zip
