I used Papagayo for lip syncing. Found it so much more satisfying then the built in lip syncing in AS. I'm also doing my characters in Photoshop as I'm not yet comfortable with AS Pro 6 drawing tools.
I'm also continuing to add to the vintage frame by frame look by adding Posterize Time effect in After Effects and add Noise to the key frames to add a bit more organic look to the characters edges. The Noise also adds some nice wobble and jiggling to the character also. The Posterize Time effect takes away frames and pauses or keeps a longer exposure (not sure if that's a proper way of explaining or use of jargon) of other key frames, so the animation is slightly jerky.
