Hello dear animators!

Here’s my latest work created in ASP. It is a music video titled Piccolo Bambino and based on the eponymous early 20th-century song written by A.Vertinsky & Y.Zubovsky; performance & animation by me and background painting by my wife. On youtube you can switch on English subtitles to understand the song lyrics. It took over a year to create this animation.

Mikhail.

Great work!

How did you get the effect of making the ghost break apart into snow. Was it a mask or something?

Fantastic work, I especially love the colors, well done! Did you use Artrage for the background work or how did you do it?

Thank you guys!

The background paintings were simply made with watercolors on usual paper. Then I scanned the pictures and completed them in Photoshop by editing colours and adding some fragments. My wife, by the way, was not too enthusiastic about painting the graveyard scenes, which are many here… and yet she did it! The ghost effect is also simple: the silhouette gradually vanishes, and is replaced with particles, i.e. without using any masks.

Excellent! This reminds us how emotionally powerful animation can be.
