Getting closer...
I had no idea when I started a few months ago that animating takes so much work. Eventhough I've learned enough about ASP7 to complete my project the tweaking phase still takes a long time. I'm learning everything at once. I am having fun and I really value feedback from this forum so please give me your thoughts on what I've done so far.

He he, fun idea.
A few comments. I may be wrong so please look at video of birds before changing anything. I think the speed of the wings flapping is a little slow but I also think it could used some gliding in between.
The landscape style in the first shot does not match up with the cactus scene. I'd recommend changing the first shot landscape to match the cactus scene since it goes well with the animation.
A fun beginning.
