A few walk cycles

Post by uddhava »

Hi,

Here's a few walk cycles I did using capricorn33's FKIK script after learning how to use it on Gcharb's blog.

Haha, they're pretty good. The feet are certainly rock solid! I haven't had chance to experiment yet but the results look great.

Thanks AmigaMan,

I'm glad you like them. I am practicing while reading The Animator's Survival Kit.
I like this script. It's great to be able to move the central body bone without moving the feet.

Thanks everyone.

It was fun making these also with the help of the script and the bone system of ASP.
And of course Richard Williams' book gives many good ideas and tips.

And thanks Gcharb for explaining how to use the script.

Hmmmmm......Btw Gcharb, will you be explaining how to use the Lost Doodle tool?
Seems like I remember you writing that you were using it.

Yes I am, great tool for...well... doodling :)
Great for fast storyboard from inside asp as well.

I might do a tutorial on it, but so much work and my last tutorial did not seem to interest allot of peoples, maybe this one will!

Opps, I forgot to comment on your last tutorial! Actually it was a good topic, but I think more narration by you would have made it more interesting.
I had a hard time downloading it and it seemed to end abruptly without any final comment. Maybe too many family members were using the internet.

The doodle tool is maybe not so important a topic for you to talk about. Too bad Ramón didn't explain it in more depth.

LOL

I did not say it because YOU did not comment on my last tutorial, but it is nice of you to do so now! ;)

I am quite busy, making tutorials is a way to give back to the community, since I learned allot from it at first, and still do from time to time!

Did some interesting stereoscopic render tests today, might do a paper on it for my blog.

True the last tutorial was a bit skimpy on the narration, might redo that, thanks for the comments!

Great walks! I really must try the script :)

<off topic>
I'd be interested in a lost doodle tool tutorial - i can never get transparency to work properly, and so many settings confuse me :)

Keep up the good work Gilles, don't be disheartened by a single topic getting less interest than others!
