Character concept

Post by Runfunky »

Hi!

A concept for a bandit/thief character. I'm still polishing the design.

Once complete, it'll be uploaded on CP for a free download.

Any suggestions on the design?

Clean-up and detail of the upper body. The jacket design was just taken from a medieval costume site. What's challenging is trying to keep it minimal. This is difficult because I constantly want to add add add detail.

Nice drawing, but not very convincing as a bandit.

Bandits didn't have money, that's why they stole from others. They didn't have fancy clothing in good condition. Instead most of it was a collection from elsewhere, found or stolen, and not of the right size.

Medieval clothing didn't have multiple buckles on anything. Simple patterns, cheap materials. Definitely not that "taylor-made" look clinging to the body.

Most likely the bandit didn't have such a handsome face.

Points taken.

I failed to mention this is a modern day bandit who fancies the Men's Express store and Gillette Pro-glide razors. ;)

Then it's settled. He's a prince-turned-pirate!

Ya know, I was actually thinking "pirate" as the design progressed.

Thank you Sven! I appreciate that.

Hopefully this will be complete this weekend. Just working on the colors now.
