Cat walk cycle, review needed please.

Post by pokemunn »

If anyone could do a quick review of this short walk cycle of a cat, that would be great, i need it for a school project, I can understand if nobody can but if they could that would be a great help.

There are a few inconsistencies in this animation. On the front legs, the construction varies between the two and the animation cycle for the front legs is different. On the back legs, the upstage leg is smaller than the other. And on the tail, I think there should be smaller movement of the tail for the walk speed. Otherwise nice character.

Cat's feet are slipping, Body motion is virtually nonexistent, Joints are doing strange, unnatural things. Tail is doing strange non-cat things.

Actually, it's not a cat at all, is it? Almost everything is wrong with it, animation-wise. Look at a video of a cat walking, and compare.

In a sea of so called 'constructive criticism' I adore your honesty DM, where have you been all my life?
I think I'm in love
Together we could rid this forum of all hobbyists and send Anime Studio Pro into the world of professional animation where it belongs! Roll on version 9. Xx
I am 100% hobbyist. Over the last 3 years since I bought AS6 I have made exactly 600 bucks just because one Mom and Pop store asked me to make a simple animation for them.

I am not sure what your comment is suppose to mean.

I was speaking of this

"Together we could rid this forum of all hobbyists and send Anime Studio Pro into the world of professional animation where it belongs! Roll on version 9. Xx"

I find that as insulting and immature.

This is all I will say of that.
