Paper Birds

It's a rather quick animation, but I thought it was an interesting idea.

I used paper-textured, 3D-rotated vector layers, which were manipulated by bones in order to give the wings a 3D effect. The paper bird's wing flapping animation was cycled; this animated paper bird was then placed into a particle layer and turned into many paper birds.

UPDATE:
My awesome band instructor has been kind enough to give me some of his original scores (after he saw my MidNight Dance animation, he was really impressed). He had a song written that fits this animation perfectly. Here's the updated animation with the new score:

I think it adds a lot to it.

That's very effective. You could develop a whole film from that idea :D

looks great. I love the shot that make a quick pan to the birds flying away. very nice work.
