Alright, i thought:
"Hey, why don't you make a short fish animation?" :x

"Well... Because almost every moho user made one himself..."
"Ah... Okay... Now shut up and hurry! Do it!" :x
...

So, here it is, wow!

Size:8MB | Format:Quicktime *.mov | Res:800*600

This may take some seconds.

Also i want you all to post your fish here, lets make this thread a fish pool :P

I am not sure what the "LOL" at the end of your post means, but thank you :D

melkman posted another fish, i must say the setting and style is very cool.
Anyway, a bit too short, but maybe melkman will improve animation a bit and show us a real cool living fish

I am taking the advantage and call this thread the
"UNOFFICIAL MOHO FISH POOL"

so please POST YOUR FISH in here!

Fishy Fish

Post by Max Power »

Well, although this scene, or a similar version of it, has already been shown to this forum. Things are different now that they have fin rot. They plan on infecting all the other fishies in the Unofficial Moho fish pool and create a super race of zombie fish to form their undead underwater army. Which will be used, in typical fashion, to take over the ... ... ...animated imaginary fish pool world government?

If i can fix the masking errors then i make it more animated.
(sometimes there are blank pieces in the Texture if the bones moving).
Perhaps I must the points arrange differently.
I try to create an easy simple character and suitable side views(thats not easy).
My imported *.obj files are not helpfull, because they look full of errors, broken faces, etc...
hmm i try to flip normals and make materials single sided....
Again forgive my bad english.
Greetz me (no smiley)

It was an incorrect use of emoticon, didn't mean anything by it!

In the first sample is it possibly a dace?
Image
And maybe the second was alike this or something related to this species?
Image
The third sample was cool cause the swarm moved so floaty and the plants looked so good.

Hey we should put all fish together and let 'em swim  :D

Actually all were based on the shapes -not coloring of some of my favorite aquarium fish -I worked in retail pet/aquarium industry for many years and also use to breed many fish. 1st and 3rd were based on the general shape of two different varieties of rasbora -rasbora maculata and the harlequin rasbora.

The 2nd was based on the general shape of a blue ram -one of my all time favorite dwarf cichlids.

One of the problems with the 3rd is that I did the tail motion simply by setting the bone dynamics and it is up and down like a porpoise instead of side to side like most fish.

Yep i noticed some very popular shapes of fish.
Cool you worked in aquarium industry?!
Me myself is having only one pond and i breed endemic whitings, several perches, bitterlings, minnows, crested newts, pool frogs and some common vipers. I wish i had a fish farm, that would be a dream job. Maybe in 30 yrs.

Hmm, i wonder if it is possible to set the bone dynamics to the Z-Axis, so that it moves from side to side. Maybe someone knows about?
