A Character Rig of Myself
I probably should have done this a long time ago, but I finally rigged... myself.

Liked the music and WOW are you flexible! That waist and neck bend all over the place!
Really, looks good.

I really appreciate a look at how your stuff is rigged. I think your characters are beautiful. This video will help me a lot in the future.
Re: A Character Rig of Myself
Thanks, Danimal! Yeah... I'm really flexible when I show off the full spectrum of all of my smart bone actions.
@Pinesal Thank you! I'm glad to be able to say that I was of some use to another AS user; I feel bad for not contributing more to this forum...

I made the image of the nebula in photoshop, but it was still compiled into AS. Other than that, everything was done entirely in AS.

Thought of this:
JK.
Seriously, though your head turning and all the different angles are really impressive.

Thanks for showing the smart bone actions like this - amazing 3D simulation when he raises and lowers his head. After all that, I would have expected a dance scene to show off what this character can do. Instead you gave us a melancholy young man in a snowstorm ... a personal statement? You've shown great abilities with Winter Land - hope to see a Summer Land from you sometime.

Yeah, that animation probably wasn't the best for demonstration purposes; I was originally planning on making a short animation about loneliness (hence the melancholy young man [me] in a "snowstorm"), but I lost inspiration and decided to make a demonstration of the rig instead.

Re: A Character Rig of Myself
You portrayed what you wanted really well. I like it from the details from the background, tho the character animation. I can see why it took so long. So many smart bones!
Again, nice work!
Again, nice work!

That comment reactivates the essay-grading teacher in me: How about a contrast between exuberance (dance movements) and the lonely melancholy lad? Your rig can do both. BTW, you're one of the younger forum members, but our senior in mature art work.ianmage1 wrote:exile wrote:Thanks for showing the smart bone actions like this - amazing 3D simulation when he raises and lowers his head. @eric1223 Thank you.
@exil I'll upload something when I have the time.
And thank you; animation has taken over my life, even in my younger age. So, I really appreciate your kind words.
