Van Gogh Museum

Post by Lukas »

Most of it is animated in Anime Studio Pro, there's some TVPaint and After Effects in there too:

We wrote and animated this introduction for a guided tour for children in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
Two eccentric french spinsters travel to Amsterdam to resolve a mystery surrounding their grandfather Camille, who’s portrait was painted by Vincent van Gogh during his time in France.

This is really quite excellent! The mirror reflections were quite good and the story gets across even without understanding the dialog.

OUTSTANDING!

Fantastic work. Just the skies alone must have taken weeks to create. The animation is clean and the silhouettes are clear, the comic timing is right on. The piece never feels sluggish. All the Van Gogh references are wonderful.

Mirror reflections grabbed my attention too. But backgrounds, backgrounds are... marvelous!
My sincere compliments, Lucas.
