My best animation (yet)
The Sands of Amny - Thirst.
Part one in a 3 part special

an experiment in animating to sound and music. I think it turned out pretty well. A few things I will change in the complete version, I was unable to get to due to arbitrary deadlines I forced upon myself. But all in all I am happy with it.

Very interesting,

You have a lot of elements that work great, your sun effects and your sun spots look really good. The story sets up interestingly and gets you watching, the only thing that jumped out as a distraction was your walk cycle. There was way too much floating going on, he slides instead of walks in some obvious spots, and the pacing when he's passing the buildings has the buildings moving by quickly but his body movements are slow. I think that these are things that are correctable relatively easily. I hope you give it a shot.

Nice job overall

Thanks for watching :) yeah those parts really bugged me too, but I ended up pulling a 16 hour day due to a dead line. Already have much of it fixed. Also considering changing the front and back view walk cycles to a frame by frame animation. Just hard to get a convincing front view cycle using puppetry.

This really does have a very large scale feel to it. Nicely done!

I like the landscapes and the camera movements you did, like I like how you panned over the hills to show that the dessert is very large. I like it! You established a good mood in the beginning too!
